I want to do some woodworking, but am unsure which tool is best for doing letters and other things of the same nature, I have talked to a couple people and have had mixed answers, so is a hand held jigsaw or a scroll saw better for what I am trying to accomplish?
Thanks in Adavance!
Scroll saw, all the way. The width of a jigsaw or bandsaw blade makes tight turns very difficult- though a bandsaw can handle thicker material than a scroll saw. You also have a lot more control with the flat table of a scroll or band saw than with a handheld jigsaw- you can use both hands to guide the material.
I miss my scroll saw…
