I used to build a lot of small projects about 20 years ago. Now I just bought a totally gutted house and am going to redo the entire thing… Kitchens, counters, cabinets, built in… Like everything. The only table saw I had was a crappy little 0 job, and its 20 years old. Im looking for something with a rock solid fence that will remain absolutely square, that is relocatable from my current house to the new one and back. Thanks
Um I was hoping that someone here could tell me rather than spending money to hear from a magazine. I was looking for first hand knowledge. Thanks.

Which tool is best for woodworking?

I want to do some woodworking, but am unsure which tool is best for doing letters and other things of the same nature, I have talked to a couple people and have had mixed answers, so is a hand held jigsaw or a scroll saw better for what I am trying to accomplish?

Thanks in Adavance!

I make log cabin bird houses and feeders, Scroll saw clocks. and other things.

Table saw problems?

I have a table saw by Ryobi which I bought in Germany. It’s not under warranty anymore. Anyway I noticed on a project the other day that my cuts werent coming out square and when I carefully checked my saw I noticed that the guide itself isnt square. When I set it to the length I want to measure it’s ok, but then when I tighten it down it goes off true. Any ideas or recommendations?

Best table saw for a beginner woodworker?

I’m starting out on woodworking/home improvement projects and want a good, sturdy table saw. I’ve been combing HD and Lowes and most of the ones I’ve found have had flimsy feeling rip fences. I’m trying to stay around the 0 price range, but definitely don’t want to short myself on quality. Is there a preferred saw for woodworkers that are on the affordable side?

It doesn’t need to be portable (stationary would probably be better) and I need it to be long enough to support larger pieces. Any opinions? Also, what should I look for when shopping? Thanks

www.felder-group.com This precision guiding system will accept maximum loads without compromising the smooth and accurate stroke of the sliding table.

I want to make a corner desk with my son, but I don’t have (nor want to buy) a table saw, drill press, band saw, etc.

There is a community shop in Reston that allows individuals to ‘rent’ it for a day, but they are closed for repairs.

Any ideas?

What kind of table saw??

I really want to get my husband a table saw for Christmas but I have no idea what to look for!!! I want it to be a surprise so I can’t grill him about the features he wants with it. He wants to use one for hobbies and to make some furniture (dressers, loft beds, etc.) He doesn’t need a hefty duty one for large projects but doesn’t want a cheap one either. Can some handy guy give me some help??
How much does the horsepower motor matter?

My SO is quite crafty, and we have a basement full of saws, sanders, and various woodworking tools.

I thought it would be a fun project to try and make some toys for our baby (6 mos.). Has anyone tried this, or have any info about it?

How would I know if the materials/paints were safe? Anything to specifically avoid using?
